Terms of Use

1. Who can use this

You must be able to form a legally binding agreement to use FindTogether, and you must comply with the minimum age and account requirements of whichever sign-in provider you use (Google, Apple, or email link). If you're using the app on behalf of a family, guardian, or organization, you're confirming you have the authority to do so.

2. What you can do here

Browse active campaigns and hazard reports; contribute a "searched area" log entry (no account needed for this — see below); add an update to an existing hazard report (no account needed); and, if signed in, create and manage a campaign or report a new hazard.

3. Content you submit

You're responsible for anything you submit — campaign details, search-log entries, hazard reports and updates, photos, and any other content. By submitting content, you confirm it's accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you have the right to share it, and you grant us a license to store, display, and distribute it as part of operating the app. You retain ownership of content you submit.

We may remove, hide, or edit content that violates these Terms, that a campaign owner asks us to remove, or that we believe in good faith could cause harm, without prior notice.

4. Rules for using FindTogether

When contributing to a campaign or hazard report, you agree not to:

• Enter private property without the owner's permission.
• Approach, confront, follow, or attempt to contact a missing person, animal, or hazard yourself — report what you observe and let the appropriate authority or campaign owner handle it.
• Submit false, misleading, defamatory, or malicious information, including false hazard reports or fabricated "found" claims.
• Use the app to harass, stalk, threaten, or violate the privacy of any person.
• Use the app for anything illegal, or to interfere with an active law-enforcement investigation.

Campaign owners are additionally responsible for keeping the safety guidance on their campaign accurate and for moderating contributions to it (hiding or removing entries as needed).

5. No warranty

FindTogether is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any campaign, search log, or hazard report — this is community-submitted information, and you should independently verify anything safety-critical and involve official channels (police, animal control, 911) rather than relying on this app alone.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by the laws of Alberta, Canada, Fit4Purpose Solutions Inc. and its people will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of, or inability to use, FindTogether, or from your reliance on any content posted by another user. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Fit4Purpose Solutions Inc. from any claim arising out of your use of the app, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

8. Account and campaign management

Campaign owners can add co-owners, change a campaign's status, and manage contributions to it. We may suspend or remove access to the app, or to a specific campaign, for conduct that violates these Terms.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the app changes. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continued use of FindTogether after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Alberta, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, and any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Alberta.
